Book signature dining experiences
Disney has 8+ signature restaurants with romantic atmosphere. Honeymooners specifically should book:
- California Grill (Contemporary) — top floor with Magic Kingdom fireworks view from window seats. Iconic Disney honeymoon meal.
- Yachtsman Steakhouse (Beach Club) — refined, quiet, excellent food.
- Jiko – The Cooking Place (Animal Kingdom Lodge) — African-inspired, intimate.
- Victoria & Albert's (Grand Floridian) — Michelin-starred experience. Most expensive Disney restaurant. Worth it for milestone honeymoons.
- Citricos (Grand Floridian) — Mediterranean, sophisticated.
Reserve 60 days before exactly. These book solid for weekends.
Plan slower park days
Honeymoon park days should be slower than family days. You're not trying to hit 18 rides. You're trying to enjoy the experience together.
Suggested honeymoon park rhythm:
- Late breakfast at hotel (no rope drop necessary)
- Park entry 10 AM
- 4-5 attractions through lunchtime
- Long romantic lunch (1.5 hours)
- 3-4 more attractions afternoon
- Spa/hotel break 3-5 PM (optional but recommended)
- Sunset dinner at signature restaurant
- Evening park visit OR resort romantic time
- Fireworks somewhere intimate

At your resort: mention you're on your honeymoon at check-in. Disney often adds surprise touches (welcome champagne, room upgrades when available, congratulations card from staff).
Honeymoon registry: Disney Honeymoon Registry lets wedding guests contribute to your trip. Family members chip in for room nights, character meals, special tours.
Couples photo packages: Disney's PhotoPass photographers do specifically-romantic shots — castle backdrops, twirling, kisses. Book a dedicated session for photos you'll actually use.

The Disney Wedding crossover
Many Disney honeymoons follow Disney weddings. If you got married at Disney, your honeymoon planning differs:
